Monday is the real test for any film, and The Vvaan passed it comfortably. The Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer posted a very strong first-Monday hold. That helped it earn a SUCCESS verdict, according to trade estimates.

The Vvaan: Day-Wise Collection

Day	Nett (India)
Friday	Rs 7.50 cr
Saturday	Rs 10.75 cr
Sunday	Rs 13.75 cr
Monday	Rs 4.75 cr
Total	Rs 36.75 cr

The film collected about Rs 4.75 crore nett on Monday, a drop of just 37 per cent from its opening day. In box office terms, that’s a very healthy hold. The four-day total stands at roughly Rs 37 crore nett, and the film looks on track to cross Rs 50 crore nett in its first week.

Bihar Leads the Charge

The star of the show was the Bihar circuit, where the film netted an impressive Rs 80 lakh on Monday. A lifetime total of Rs 10 crore nett or more now looks certain there, which would be a blockbuster figure for a film of this size.

Mumbai and Delhi-NCR are also performing well, and both have sizeable Bihari populations. That regional pull is clearly helping the film’s staying power.

Why the Success Tag Matters

With this hold, The Vvaan has sealed its SUCCESS status. That makes it the 12th success of the year and the 6th in the last three months. Normally, a hold like this would be enough for a HIT tag as well, but there’s a hurdle ahead.

The Drishyam 3 Challenge

Next week brings competition from Drishyam 3, which could slow The Vvaan’s momentum. If the film survives that clash, it could go on to become a HIT. That would be a fantastic result, especially because just a month ago it looked destined to be a non-starter.

What to Watch For?

Weekday holds: Tuesday and Wednesday numbers will show whether word of mouth keeps working.
The Rs 50 crore mark: A first-week total above this would strengthen the HIT case.
Bihar’s run: Regional strength could decide the film’s final total.
