Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar Twitter Review: Can First Love Really Get a Second Chance?

We’ve all wondered what happens when an old crush walks back into your life. That’s the heart of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, the latest rom-com from the Luv Ranjan camp, which hit theatres on October 23, 2026. It features six Bollywood newcomers, and it’s directed by debutant Anuj Saini.

What Is Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar Twitter Saying?

Early reactions are split, as is often the case with a young, untested cast.

• The positive side. One user gave it 3 out of 5, praising how it explores romance through school crushes, old memories, friendships and unexpected relationships. They called out the first-love-and-second-chances theme, the young ensemble and the relatable premise.
• The critical side. Another netizen felt the film isn’t a good launchpad for the newcomers.

Pinkvilla also reports that the film opened with around Rs 50 lakh on Day 1, double the opening of Tum Mere Ho. That’s a modest start, but not a washout for a film with no big stars.

What Is the Story About?

The film follows three best friends who are also corporate colleagues sharing a flat and stuck in dull work routines. A chance meeting with a heartbroken lover at a wedding pushes them to revisit their romantic pasts.

• Vedant meets his old school crush Simran, only to learn she’s already engaged.
• Gautam goes after former schoolmate Gehna while dealing with modern dating and commitment issues.
• Shivi finds herself drawn to her old crush Karan, whose casual attitude to relationships leaves her confused.

As old feelings return and secrets surface, the trio must decide whether first love deserves a second shot or whether some chapters are best left closed.

Should You Watch It?

If you enjoy light, youthful rom-coms from the Luv Ranjan school, this might be a fun weekend watch. If you want big stars and strong word of mouth, you may want to wait for more reviews first.
