Some love stories begin with grand gestures. Others begin over a cup of coffee. The Table: Day and Night is firmly in the second camp, and it now has a November 4 premiere date and a main poster to go with it.

What Is the Film About?

Set during the shift from summer to fall, the film follows four pairs of men and women whose paths cross at the same café. Their conversations are described as witty, understated and charming. It’s a gentle, dialogue-led romance film built around small, fleeting moments rather than big dramatic turns.

The Table: The Four Love Stories

Couple	Cast	Their Story
Yoo Jin & Hyeon Oh	Kim Min Ha & Joo Jong Hyuk	A chance encounter between two people who visit the café at different times of day
Sang Mi & Young Min	Han Sun Hwa & Chang Ryul	An unexpected reunion of two people who shared private tutoring sessions in middle school
Hye Jin & Dong Nam	Shim Eun Kyung & Lee Hee Joon	A fiery first meeting between a web novel writer and an indie filmmaker
Na Kyeong & Jong Su	Jeon So Young & Kim Dong Hwi	The bittersweet moments of an aspiring idol and her longtime boyfriend

Reading the Poster

The poster shows all eight characters, and the details are worth a closer look. Yoo Jin holds a wristwatch to her ear to hear it tick, while Hyeon Oh repairs its parts, a neat nod to their day-and-night meeting. Sang Mi looks calm, as if she has figured out the world’s secrets, while Young Min seems lost in thought with his fingertips on his lips.

Hye Jin smiles with a coffee in hand as Dong Nam earnestly tries to win her over. Meanwhile, Na Kyeong and Jong Su show the raw, unpolished side of a first breakup.

Why It’s Worth Adding to Your Watchlist?

Ensemble romances can be hit-or-miss, but this one has a clear hook. A single café brings very different relationships together, from nostalgic reunions to prickly first meetings to heartbreak. Add a seasonal setting and a lineup of familiar faces, and it promises a cosy, relatable watch for autumn.
