The Apple TV+ thriller delivered one of its most emotionally gut-wrenching finales yet — a confession, a forgiveness, and a chilling final phone call that leaves everything hanging. Here’s a full breakdown.

Who Really Killed Kate?

Quinn is responsible for Kate’s death. She sent a driver to scare Kate away from meeting with Ivan Escarra, Head of the Organized Crime Task Force under the FBI — because Quinn knew Kate had evidence to bring down the Campano family. The plan went terribly wrong when young Bailey ran into the street, the car swerved to avoid hitting the child, and struck Kate instead. Deadline

The Shocking Twist — Is It Really Over?

Don’t be fooled by the warm reunion. The finale concluded with Quinn making a phone call to Maris Anderson, the U.S. Marshal secretly working for the Campanos, saying: “We have a few loose ends we need to tie up.”

As Judy Greer herself put it: “Quinn was honest. She had her come to Jesus moment. And now there’s work to be done.”

Jennifer Garner’s take is equally unsettling. Garner admits: “I think they’re crazy to trust that Quinn will just let them go… if they do trust her, it’s a fool’s errand. But I do think Hannah is smart enough — she’s preparing for whatever happens next.” TV Inside

Will There Be a Season 3?

While Season 2 resolves the mystery of Kate’s death, Quinn’s comments about “loose ends” leave the door open for future conflict — though no official announcement has been made. Theviewersperspective
