Against all odds — legal battles, court stays, muted opening day numbers — The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has quietly built a respectable two-week total. It’s not a blockbuster by any measure, but for a no-star-power social drama that fought its way into theatres, the numbers tell a story of genuine audience loyalty.
The Kerala Story 2 Week 2 Box Office — The Full Picture
The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond collected ₹1.25 crore on its second Thursday, adding ₹12.65 crore in Week 2 overall — a 35% dip from the opening week. This pushed its two-week cumulative total to ₹32.90 crore nett at the Indian box office.
The film is on course to cross the ₹35 crore mark by its third Saturday, with a projected weekend wrap of around ₹37 crore. However, its third week will be significantly shortened as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge arrives with Wednesday previews, which will push most holdover releases out of cinema screens.

Context: A Commendable Run for a Controversial Film
The Kerala Story 2 had a rocky road to cinemas — the Kerala High Court granted an interim stay on its release on February 26, before a division bench convened a special sitting on February 27 and lifted the order. IMDb Shows began late on opening day, which visibly dented early momentum.
When compared to the original film, the sequel’s run is nowhere near as strong — yet analysts note that the numbers are commendable for a film with no major face value star. Sacnilk The original Kerala Story had become a massive cultural flashpoint in 2023, collecting over ₹220 crore nett domestically — a benchmark the sequel was never realistically positioned to match.
The movie is expected to wrap up its full theatrical journey around the ₹40 crore nett mark Wikipedia, making it a modest but respectable performer by 2026 Bollywood standards — especially given the hurdles it cleared just to reach the screen.
