Tamil cinema is in shock. Sangeetha Sornalingam, wife of superstar Thalapathy Vijay, has reportedly filed for divorce, with reports alleging the star was involved in an extramarital affair with an unnamed actress. The “Emoji Code” That Has Everyone Talking
Fans revisited past social media posts, noticing that Trisha wished Vijay on his birthday in 2023, 2024, and 2025 consistently using the same set of emojis — heart, infinity, and evil eye. Her Ghilli re-release post in April 2024 used the same emojis and noted it felt like a “full circle.” Even her Valentine’s Day 2024 post carried identical symbols.
Coincidence? Fans don’t think so. The combination of emojis — particularly the “evil eye” 🧿 which is traditionally used for protection and luck toward someone special — has led many to believe Trisha’s posts carry a hidden, recurring message meant for Vijay.
A June 2025 Instagram post where Trisha wished Vijay with the caption “Happy Birthday bestest 🤗🧿” has become the centrepiece of online debate since the divorce news broke. The post, which resurfaced almost immediately after Sangeetha’s petition went viral, sent fans into a frenzy.

Trisha has often been vocal about shutting down personal rumours. In October 2025, she dismissed marriage reports by posting on Instagram Stories: “I love when people plan my life for me.” Siasat Daily Neither she nor Vijay has confirmed any relationship.
According to Wikipedia, Trisha Krishnan is one of the leading actresses in Tamil and Telugu cinema, having starred alongside Vijay in major hits including Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), and the 2023 blockbuster Leo — films that have consistently reignited fan speculation about their off-screen bond.
As of now, neither Vijay nor his representatives has issued an official public statement regarding the divorce filing. BollywoodShaadis
