First came the director’s chair, and now the spotlight might be calling. After his debut film Sigma, Jason Sanjay, son of Thalapathy Vijay, is reportedly considering a leap in front of the camera. Here’s what we know, and what’s still just talk.

Jason Sanjay’ Buzz : Overview

Detail	Info
Person	Jason Sanjay, son of Thalapathy Vijay
Debut as director	Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan
Reported next step	Acting debut
Reported producer	Lyca Productions (also behind Sigma)
Possible director	Sanjeev, Vijay’s cousin and Sigma’s executive producer
Status	Unconfirmed

What the Reports Say?

According to Movies Singapore and Valai Pechu, Jason Sanjay is in discussions with Lyca Productions about acting. The studio has reportedly heard story narrations from several directors, including Lingusamy.

Sanjeev, who is also the brother of actor Vikranth, may helm the project. Reports add that Jason’s maternal grandfather, a businessman, is keen on seeing his grandson act.

The catch: there’s no official word on the cast, director or production house. Until Lyca or Jason confirms, treat this as speculation.

A Tough Start Behind the Camera

Sigma is an action-adventure about Guru, a struggling librarian who tries to save his late mother’s ancestral library. He ends up in a hidden casino, a mysterious pen drive and a chase for an overseas fortune. Faria Abdullah plays the female lead, with Raju Sundaram and Sampath Raj in supporting roles.

The film has reportedly received mixed-to-negative reviews, which makes this a challenging start for the young filmmaker.

Why Fans Are Talking?

What Happens Next?

For now, we wait. If an official announcement comes, expect details on the director, cast and genre. Until then, enjoy the Sigma discussion and keep rumours in perspective.
