What Vijay Said — And Why It Hit Different

At a recent Women’s Meet, Thalapathy Vijay addressed the swirling controversy without naming anyone directly. He told the gathering not to worry about the problems surrounding him, adding that those issues were not worth their time and that he would handle them himself. The moment that landed hardest? He said what hurt him most was seeing his supporters feel sad or stressed because of his personal troubles.

For a star of his stature to speak this openly — even indirectly — about an ongoing divorce and cheating controversy is remarkable. It showed a man choosing dignity over drama.

What Triggered the Fresh Controversy?

The controversy intensified after Vijay and alleged lover Trisha Krishnan appeared together at a wedding reception, spotted in coordinated outfits and leaving the event in the same car. Shortly after, Sangeetha reportedly filed a fresh petition seeking residential rights to their matrimonial home, claiming Vijay allegedly made clear she would not be permitted to reside there if she pursued legal separation.

She has also sought fair and reasonable permanent alimony, along with interim relief to ensure she is not left without accommodation during proceedings. Earlier reports had suggested Vijay was prepared to pay Rs 250 crore as alimony to settle the matter — though no official confirmation has been made on either side.
