What Happened on the ORR That Night

The accident took place on the Outer Ring Road stretch between Bongloor and Thukkuguda in Hyderabad. When the car reached near Exit No. 12, Bharath Kanth — who was driving — rammed into a container truck ahead of them.

According to officials from the Adibatla Police, a case has been registered, and both bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances that led to the crash.

The impact was fatal. Neither of the two men survived.

Who Was Bharath?

Bharath Kanth was a Telugu actor, YouTuber, and dancer who had been gradually earning his place in the industry. He was best known for his performances in Gramam (2021), directed by Chenna Narayana, and in the 2024 release Tenant, in which he played a leading role. He had also appeared in web series, including Geethanjali and Parvathi Parameshwarlu, becoming a familiar face among Telugu audiences.

As for Trilok, he had worked as a cinematographer on several Telugu productions and had earned recognition within the industry. Both were natives of Nellore in Andhra Pradesh — friends from the same hometown, taken together in the same tragedy.

Tollywood Pays Tribute

The grief across the Telugu film industry has been immediate and overwhelming. Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3 contestant Ashu Reddy took to Instagram to mourn Bharath’s death, sharing pictures with the late actor and writing: “This is a personal loss to me… my best friend, my emergency contact, my family, my person is with Shivaya now.”

Fans and industry colleagues alike have been flooding social media with condolences, remembering a young talent who had so much left to give.

A Disturbing Pattern

This tragedy does not stand alone. The incident comes amid a recent surge in road accident cases involving members of the film industry. Last week, Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair and veteran producer RB Choudary also died in separate road accidents in Kerala and Rajasthan, respectively.

The ORR, which has seen multiple fatal crashes involving film personalities over the years, is once again at the centre of a devastating loss.
