TECNO POVA Neo launched in India with a massive 6,000mAh battery

Transsion Electronics subsidiary Tecno has officially launched their latest device, the TECNO POVA Neo in the Indian market. The smartphone features the same specs as the Nigerian variant, but it has a comparatively lesser price tag.

The TECNO POVA Neo costs 12,999 INR for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant. This is cheaper than the Nigerian model that costs Rs.13,161.

The TECNO POVA Neo comes in Obsidian Black, Geek Blue, and Power Black color options. The device is set to go on sale from the 22nd of January via authorized retailers. If you purchase the phone in the initial stage, you will get a free pair of the TECNO Free earbuds that are worth 1,499 INR.

The TECNO POVA Neo has a 6.8″ DotNotch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a peak brightness of 480 nits along with a narrow bezel design. The smartphone has a textured back on the rear which makes it easier to grip.

Coming to the optics, the device has a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary lens and an unknown secondary lens. It has an 8MP selfie camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It has a quad-LED setup on the rear.

The TECNO POVA Neo is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chip paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage.

TECNO is also offering 5GB of virtual RAM expansion but if you do decide to avail of this feature, you will have to forego 5GB from your internal storage. The highlight of the device is its massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It runs on Android 11 OS out-of-the-box with HiOS 7.6 on top.

TECNO claims that the phone will get up to 43 hours of talk time and up to 55 days of standby on a single charge. It comes with dual-SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth v5.1. It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
