"taylor Sheridan": Taylor Sheridan’s Landman Season 3 is officially delayed. The news hit on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, shaking up the schedule for one of Paramount+’s top originals. After being renewed in December 2025 during its second season, the show wrapped that run in January — and since then, we’ve heard nothing. Until now. Here’s what we know and what it means.
Why Has Landman Season 3 Been Delayed?
Actor James Jordan confirmed the production timeline change during a chat with Collider, published on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Jordan’s comments mark the first official update on the show’s timeline since the renewal announcement. Although the interview didn’t provide a new premiere date, it confirmed that the original production plan has shifted. This is important: a delay doesn’t mean cancellation. Landman remains one of Paramount+’s strongest performers, and Sheridan’s production team usually keeps a hit busy. Now, we just need to see how much the schedule changes. What Happened at the End of Landman Season 2?
The finale set up an exciting new direction. Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) got fired from M-Tex and decided to start his own independent company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, with financial support from Gallino (Andy Garcia).
He brought several trusted M-Tex team members along, including his father T.L. Norris (Sam Elliott). They announced the new structure almost like a corporate board: Cooper (Jacob Lofland) became president, Nate (Colm Feore) took on the role of treasurer, and Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) stepped in as COO and chief counsel. Season 3 was always set to explore CTT’s journey in the Permian Basin. This delay just means we’ll have to wait longer to see Tommy take charge.
When Will Landman Season 3 Now Premiere?
No official date has been announced yet. Paramount+ hasn’t provided a revised timeline, and Jordan’s interview didn’t clarify one either. What’s clear is that the original schedule is out the window. Generally, a show renewed in December with a January finale would target a late-2026 return. A shift in production of even a few weeks could push that to 2027.
“taylor sheridan”: Implications of the Delay
The delay in Season 3’s premiere raises questions about the show’s future direction and character development. Fans are eager to see how Tommy handles the challenges that lie ahead.
On top of that, this postponement could affect the production schedule, possibly changing the story arcs for upcoming episodes. Stay tuned for more on taylor sheridan.
