Suriya fans have plenty to be excited about this Diwali. The actor’s much-awaited next, currently known as Suriya47, is reportedly set to be titled Scene — and the makers may be aiming for a November 6, 2026 release, right in time for the festive season.
What We Know So Far
According to a report by Lets Cinema, Suriya will play a quirky police officer unraveling a mystery in his own distinctive style in this action comedy, directed by Jithu Madhavan. The story reportedly takes a twist when his character is handed an unexpected new mission.
Adding to the buzz, the makers are said to be planning a first-look reveal on September 9, 2026, at 6 PM. A silhouette poster already teases Suriya in a cop uniform, hinting at the film’s tone. Do note: none of this has been officially confirmed by the makers yet.

If this release date holds, Scene will mark Suriya’s third release in 2026, following his recent romantic drama Vishwanath & Sons alongside Mamitha Baiju, which is currently streaming on Netflix. Beyond Scene, the actor already has SuriyaXHombale (Suriya48) lined up, directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Hombale Films, co-starring Kayadu Lohar and Yogi Babu.
It’s clear Suriya is stacking up a packed release calendar, keeping fans guessing about which film will hit screens first and how each will perform.
