Still Shining: Film Overview

Two Girls, Two Big Dreams

The new stills show the heroines at age 17.

• Young Soon Ok (Park Seo Kyung) treasures Jung Im above anyone else. She dreams of moving to Seoul and turning her best friend into a star.
• Young Jung Im (Choi Ju Eun) has a clear voice and remarkable singing talent. She grew up in modest circumstances but refuses to give up on becoming a singer known in Seoul.

What the Stills Show?

The images capture the warmth of their bond. In them, Soon Ok gazes affectionately at Jung Im, the two smile at each other with flowers in their hair, and they lie side by side looking at the sky.

Then comes a twist. In one still, the girls sit facing each other in a cramped space with worried looks. It raises the big question of what happens to two once carefree girls.

What the Actors Say?

Park Seo Kyung says the film allowed her to grow and realize many things. She hopes viewers remember that everyone was once a girl who dreamed, loved and lived.

For Choi Ju Eun, it’s her first film and her first leading role. She describes it as full of the desperation of chasing a dream and a deep yearning for friendship.
