Even superheroes hit a bit of turbulence eventually. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has cooled off at the Indian box office in its third week, but with 15 days of collections already in the bank, its record-setting run is far from over.

Third Friday: A Dip, But Not a Fall

The film collected Rs 4.25 crore gross on its third Friday, a noticeably slower pace caused largely by fresh competition — Awarapan 2, Batwara 1947, and Vishwanath & Sons all released the same weekend. Combined with its Rs 391.50 crore first week and Rs 126 crore second week, the film’s running total now stands at Rs 521.75 crore gross across 15 days.

What’s Next

The film is expected to see a strong spike on Independence Day, with its third weekend projected to add another Rs 15–17 crore gross, pushing the cume to around Rs 535 crore. If it can regain momentum, industry trackers believe it’s on pace to enter the elite Rs 600 crore gross club by the end of its theatrical run — placing it in rare company alongside all-time blockbusters like Titanic, Avatar, and the Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame duo.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo, marking Spider-Man’s fourth outing in the MCU following Spider-Man: No Way Home.
