Spider-Man: Brand New Day Already Beats The Odyssey’s Presales — And It’s Still a Week Away From Release

Tom Holland‘s web-slinger is swinging into India with serious momentum, and the numbers so far suggest this could be a genuinely massive opening.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day- Advance Booking Snapshot

A Milestone Reached Early

As of Tuesday noon, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already crossed 1.40 lakh tickets sold across India’s top two national chains for its opening day — and remarkably, that number has already surpassed the final Day 1 presale tally that Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey managed, despite Brand New Day still being a full week away from release.

What’s the Real Target?

With momentum expected to keep building, the film is aiming for the 500K-ticket mark. For context, Spider-Man: No Way Home sold around 550K tickets back in 2021 — matching that number would be considered a strong benchmark for Brand New Day to hit.

Why This Opening Could Be Bigger Than No Way Home

No Way Home’s Rs 265 crore India haul came during a market still recovering from the pandemic, competing against major local releases at the time. Brand New Day, on the other hand, arrives into a much healthier theatrical landscape, with Hollywood films generally outperforming expectations in India this year.

The Bigger Picture

Given the current pace, presale numbers may prompt an upward revision to the film’s opening-day forecast in the coming days if momentum continues to build the way it has so far.
