Where Was It Actually Filmed?

📍 Mississauga, Ontario — The Main Hub

The primary filming location was Ontario, Canada. The crew filmed most of the scenes in the Greater Toronto Area, which includes cities like Mississauga and Toronto. Mississauga served as a primary outdoor location, with its streets and neighbourhoods used extensively for exterior shots.

📍 Toronto — Hollywood North Does It Again

Known as Hollywood North, Toronto provided the filming unit with the necessary facilities, local talent, and locales — with buildings and landmarks like the CN Tower and First Canadian Place potentially visible in establishing shots. The Cinemaholic

📍 Hamilton — The Final Chapter

Hamilton, Ontario was used during the final weeks of production. The Vienna Tavern at 152 Grenfell Street was transformed into “The Swan Dive,” a bar setting for key scenes. The tavern has since closed permanently. PRIMETIMER

Why Canada? The Winter Was the Point

Lead actress Camila Morrone captured the brutal shoot perfectly on social media: “73 day shoot. Canadian winter. Blood — plenty of it. Snow. More blood. Nights that bled into mornings. Then more nights. Then more snow.” The Cinemaholic

That raw, freezing atmosphere isn’t set dressing — it’s baked into every frame. The production leaned hard into Ontario’s harsh January conditions to create the isolated, claustrophobic dread the show needed.
