Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 vs Dimensity 8400: Upper-Mid-Range Chip Comparison

The upper-mid-range segment is where Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 duke it out for space in phones priced between ₹25,000 and ₹35,000. Here’s the comparison.

Quick Info

MediaTek’s Benchmark Lead vs Qualcomm’s Ecosystem Polish

In raw AnTuTu and Geekbench numbers, the Dimensity 8400 generally posts higher scores, thanks to MediaTek’s aggressive core clock tuning in this tier. But the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 tends to offer smoother real-world performance and better camera processing, an area where Qualcomm’s Spectra ISP has historically had an edge. For phones in the ₹25,000-35,000 range, both are strong choices; the decision often comes down to which specific device offers better software support and camera tuning rather than the chip alone.
