Unprecedented National Scale
Smart India Hackathon 2025 reached record participation with 1,365 mentors guiding finalist teams to develop solutions for challenges issued by government ministries, state departments, PSUs, and leading industries. The 60 nodal centres operated simultaneously nationwide, reflecting the Ministry of Education’s commitment to nurturing innovation aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047.
WeSchool Winners Announced
Under the Ministry of Defence’s “Secure Closed Group Communication Platform” challenge, Team Coding Krew led by Rudra Prasad M L from Chennai Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu, claimed victory, while Team Humble led by T Preetham Reddy from Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Telangana, secured runner-up.
For “AI-enabled Cyber Incident & Safety Web Portal for Defence,” Team Black Order led by Sai Shravan P from SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Tamil Nadu, won first place, with Team BruteForce_X led by Mohit Rathore from IPS Academy, Indore, as runner-up.
The Ministry of Railways challenge saw Team nyx, led by Mihir Mahesh Phalke from Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, take the top spot, while Team The Avalanche, led by Riya Saraf from Faculty Nature Care Sanganthan’s Group of Institutions, Jabalpur, finished runner-up.
