Bigg Boss 16 star Shiv Thakare finally addresses the viral wedding photo that sent social media into a frenzy, confirming it was all for a project shoot.

Reality TV sensation Shiv Thakare recently found himself at the center of marriage speculation after sharing a photo in traditional Marathi wedding attire with a mystery woman. The Bigg Boss 16 runner-up has now broken his silence, clarifying the truth behind the viral images during his first public appearance.

What Actually Happened?

When media personnel congratulated Shiv during his recent appearance, the actor cheekily responded, “Kis liye?” (For what?). Upon being reminded of his wedding-like Instagram post captioned “Finally,” he quickly set the record straight.

“Galati se tha bhai, shooting tha. Mummy nhi thi meri, bina mummy ke shadi hogi kya?” (It was a mistake, it was from shooting. My mother wasn’t there. Would my wedding happen without her?),” Shiv explained, using the absence of his mother as definitive proof.

The reality star emphasized, “Aese jo aane wali hai vo bhi nhi aaegi” (If everyone thinks this way, someone who’s going to come in my life won’t come), suggesting that these rumors could actually affect his real relationship prospects.

The Viral Photo That Started It All

Shiv had shared a traditional Maharashtrian wedding setup photo on Instagram earlier this month, wearing full groom attire alongside a woman whose face remained hidden. The post immediately sparked congratulatory messages from celebrities including comedian Bharti Singh, actress Poonam Pandey, and several other industry colleagues.

However, astute fans had already suspected it was a professional shoot, with many commenting about visible camera equipment in the background.

Shiv’s Relationship History

The MTV Roadies alum was previously linked to Bigg Boss Marathi co-contestant Veena Jagtap, though they reportedly broke up in 2022. During his Bigg Boss 16 stint, Shiv admitted they hadn’t completely moved on from each other. He was also rumored to be dating actress Daisy Shah during Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.

According to reports, Shiv has confirmed that marriage is indeed on the cards for 2026, though he’s keeping details about his future bride under wraps for now.
