The Shelby Name Lives On — Meet the Star-Studded Cast of the Peaky Blinders Sequel Series on Netflix

By order of the Peaky Blinders — a new generation is coming, and the cast is seriously impressive. Netflix and the BBC have officially revealed four major new additions to the long-awaited Peaky Blinders sequel series, and if these names don’t get your pulse racing, nothing will.

Peaky Blinders: Duke Shelby Takes the Throne

BAFTA-winning actor Jamie Bell (All of Us Strangers, Rocketman) has been cast as Duke Shelby — Tommy Shelby’s oldest son — and Netflix has already dropped a first-look image of Bell in character. One glance and it’s clear: Duke is very much his father’s son.

Joining Bell as co-lead is Stranger Things alumni Charlie Heaton (Industry), stepping into the gritty world of post-war Birmingham’s criminal underworld.

Rounding out the newly confirmed cast are Jessica Brown Findlay (Harlots, Downton Abbey), Lashana Lynch (No Time to Die, The Day of The Jackal), and Lucy Karczewski (Stereophonic), who will be making her television debut. whats-on-netflix Specific character details for the latter three remain tightly under wraps.

What’s the Story?

Set a full decade after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the new series drops viewers into a post-war Birmingham where the race to rebuild the city becomes a brutal, mythical contest — with Duke Shelby at its blood-soaked heart.

Creator Steven Knight described it as “a new era of Peaky Blinders,” with the story moving into the early 1950s. The series is produced by Banijay UK’s Kudos and Garrison Drama, the same production house behind the original six seasons. whats-on-netflix
