Shaque: Trust No One on Netflix: Cast, Plot, Release Date and Title Change Explained

A mother. A missing child. Nine years of unanswered questions. Netflix India’s newest Hindi thriller is here, and the title tells you exactly how to watch it: trust no one.

Shaque: Trust No One- Overview

What’s the Story?

A desperate mother receives a snapshot of her abducted child every year. After nine years of searching, she realizes the truth may not be somewhere far away. It could be hidden among the people she trusts most.

Director Rensil D’Silva says the show is built to keep viewers second-guessing what they see and who they trust, right until the end.

Who’s in the Cast?

Parineeti Chopra leads a strong ensemble:

• Tahir Raj Bhasin
• Soni Razdan
• Anup Soni
• Jennifer Winget
• Sumeet Vyas
• Harleen Sethi
• Dhruv Chaudhary

Why Did the Title Change?

Netflix first announced the series as Talaash: A Mother’s Search, but quietly renamed it in late August 2026. No official reason was given. Several films and at least one series already use the name Talaash, and the new subtitle shifts the focus from the mother’s quest to the dangers she faces.

Behind the Scenes

Filming wrapped in spring 2025 around the mountains near Shimla. Chopra learned she was pregnant during the shoot, and she has said the team let her stay on set to avoid the long, winding daily commute. She described feeling cared for throughout.

How to Watch/

The series streams with subtitles and dubs in languages including English, Tamil, Telugu, Spanish and Portuguese, so it’s easy to enjoy in your preferred language.
