Main Hoon Na’s Craziest Stunt Fail Left Shah Rukh Khan in Splits — Here’s What Really Happened

Some movie memories only get better with time, and Farah Khan just proved it. On her YouTube cooking vlog, the filmmaker sat down with Main Hoon Na actor Murali Sharma and his wife Ashwini Kalsekar, and what started as casual kitchen chatter turned into one of the most delightful throwbacks from the 2004 classic’s set.

The Stunt That Went Hilariously Wrong

Sharma, who played Captain Khan in the film, recalled a car-exit stunt gone sideways. He was only supposed to be lifted to the first floor — but thanks to shaky harness technology at the time, things spiraled fast.

Farah explained that Sharma had to climb out of a moving car while clinging to the door. Except the door came off with him, sending both flying upward, far higher than planned. It was Sharma’s very first time on a harness, and it showed — in the most chaotic way possible.

Why This Story Still Resonates

Behind-the-scenes mishaps like this capture something fans love about early-2000s Bollywood: raw, experimental filmmaking before today’s polished stunt choreography and CGI safety nets. Action sequences of that era often relied on manual rigging rather than the digital previsualization tools common in modern film production. It’s part of why Main Hoon Na remains a nostalgic favorite even today.

With Farah and Shah Rukh reportedly reuniting for Main Hoon Na 2, this old story feels perfectly timed to spark fresh excitement among fans.
