Ahn Eun Jin: The Happy Virus

Production staff describe Ahn Eun Jin as the epitome of a “happy virus” on set—spreading infectious cheerful energy to cast and crew alike. Her natural optimism perfectly suits Go Da Rim’s character, who remains determined and positive despite difficult circumstances.

“When Ahn Eun Jin laughed, everyone laughed along with her, and when Ahn Eun Jin became deeply immersed in a scene, everyone held their breath as they watched her act,” the production team revealed.

This authentic warmth translates directly to Da Rim’s character—a ray of sunshine viewers instinctively root for even as she maintains an elaborate deception.

The Star-Studded Supporting Cast

Kim Mu Jun plays Kim Sun Woo, Da Rim’s longtime friend who pretends to be her husband to protect her secret. This “perfect male friend” dynamic adds comedic complications while showcasing platonic male-female friendships.

Woo Da Vi appears as Yoo Ha Young, Da Rim’s co-worker and confidante. The rising actress brings fresh energy to workplace dynamics.

Veteran actors Nam Gi Ae and Cha Mi Kyung portray parental figures, adding depth and generational perspective to the narrative.

Director and Writer Pedigree

Director Kim Jae Hyun previously helmed “One Dollar Lawyer,” known for clean visuals and realistic storytelling. Writer Ha Yoon Ah created “Mystic Pop-Up Bar,” demonstrating skill with fantastical elements grounded in human emotion.

Netflix Global Availability

Following the streaming deal signed between Netflix and SBS in late 2024, “Dynamite Kiss” will stream worldwide on Netflix simultaneously with Korean broadcasts. This ensures international fans don’t experience delays typical of older licensing models.

The agreement also brings SBS’s classic library to Netflix, significantly expanding accessible Korean content for global audiences.

Why This Drama Matters

“Dynamite Kiss” revives SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama slot—a timeslot that last aired programming in 2019 with “Secret Boutique.” This six-year gap makes the revival symbolically important for SBS’s commitment to weekday romantic comedies.

The premise also resonates with contemporary workplace struggles. Job seekers facing discrimination based on marital or parental status will recognize Da Rim’s desperate measures, adding social commentary beneath the romantic comedy surface.

Chemistry That Pops

Early promotional materials show undeniable chemistry between Ahn Eun Jin and Jang Ki Yong. One key teaser image features the leads sharing the titular “dynamite kiss,” generating positive reactions from fans eager to see their pairing.

Both actors bring proven romantic comedy credentials—Ahn Eun Jin from “The Good Bad Mother” and Jang Ki Yong from “My Roommate Is a Gumiho.”

The Workplace Romance Angle

Baby product companies require understanding family dynamics—making Da Rim’s fake married status initially beneficial. The irony creates comedic situations as she navigates maternal advice requests while secretly single.

Ji Hyuk’s Mother TF team leadership position means he oversees Da Rim’s work directly, creating unavoidable proximity despite their complicated history.

What to Expect

Expect laugh-out-loud moments as Da Rim maintains her elaborate lie while her fake husband (Sun Woo) occasionally visits the office. Romantic tension builds as Ji Hyuk struggles with attraction to someone he believes is married, creating ethical dilemmas alongside comedic chaos.

The 14-episode format suggests a tightly paced narrative without excessive filler—perfect for binge-watching on Netflix.
