It should be no surprise that AI has had a high profile at the major corporate events this year, big tech companies in particular are racing to stuff their products with AI features. A major thing that the Pixel 9 series did boast in its typical Gemini fashion was featured functions, and Apple is soon to be blessing us with an evolution of that called Apple Intelligence. During the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, Samsung announced some new Galaxy AI stuff that seems to mirror Apple Intelligence.

More About Samsung One UI 7 AI Features

For its part, Samsung has been taking steps towards improvement in areas of the Galaxy AI set up. Sounds like the South Korean tech-giant is taking a page out of Apple’s book in an effort to bring similar updates to their own deck.

While Apple is not the sole player in this field, it was the first to unveil Apple Intelligence, which is designed to simplify users’ experiences by enabling smart photo searches. By providing a description of the image you seek, users can quickly locate specific photos without tedious scrolling.

Renowned tipster Ice Universe recently reported that Samsung plans to introduce significant improvements to its gallery with the One UI 7 update, including AI search features for enhanced user convenience. Galaxy AI already offers an advanced function called “circle to search,” which allows users to identify objects by simply circling them.

Graf said that such AI-driven search is the sort of thing PhotoTime will deliver to people who complain about not being able to find an image in their extensive photo collection. As an example, if you are looking for a photo of your and your kid during its birthday, you can request the system to do this accordingly.

While One UI 7 is not yet ready to launch, it may arrive in the weeks or months following this month’s Apple Intelligence launch. If this comes with the next Samsung system update, we can imagine more Apple Intelligence-like features to be upcoming.
