Samsung claimed a few months ago that sales of its foldable phones had surpassed those of its previous Galaxy Note generation, implying that foldable phones are now an established piece of technology. The company will reportedly sell more than 10 million foldable phones this year, as planned. However, the company hopes for more success in the upcoming year.

Samsung expects to sell 20 million foldable phones in 2024

According to reports, Samsung plans to sell 20 million foldable phones by 2024, the giant will set its sights high in 2024, aiming to sell 20 million devices of its current Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 that will be released the following year.

According to the article, Huawei’s Mate X3 and Mate X5 foldables, which were released in April and September respectively, are smaller and lighter than Samsung’s products. Despite facing severe restrictions brought on by US sanctions against the business, Huawei is pushing the envelope in terms of foldable phone design.

If Samsung wants to continue to hold the title of the most lucrative foldable smartphone brand, it will need to provide even more amazing technology in the upcoming year. Within a couple of years, Apple plans to release a foldable gadget as well, but rumors suggest that the iPad Mini will be the company’s first foldable product.
