Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Spotted on Geekbench

With the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2023, Samsung is getting ready to debut the next product in its Fan Edition (FE) line. A listing on the benchmarking website Geekbench has appeared as proof of this impending smartphone, offering some important information about the phone.

The device has the SM-S711B model number and is anticipated to run the most recent Android 13 operating system. The listing also states that the phone would have 8GB of RAM; however, it is unknown if there will be other RAM options available at launch.

The mention of the motherboard section, which implies that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE would be powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC, has drawn the attention of both tech enthusiasts and analysts.

Given that it is an older chipset that Samsung introduced in January 2022, this is somewhat unexpected. The more potent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is believed to be the only component of the regular Galaxy S23 variants, in comparison.

It is believed that Samsung chose to include the Exynos 2200 in the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE as a strategic move to exploit extra stock of the chipset and prevent any potential waste. By making the Exynos 2200 available in the FE model, Samsung was able to get the most out of its older chipsets without compromising the functionality or performance of its primary flagship models.

The Exynos chipset might be less expensive than the Snapdragon version, so this choice may also have an impact on costs.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE has additionally been confirmed to exist by its prior appearance on China’s 3C certification page. For a high-quality viewing experience, it is anticipated to have a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Exynos 2200 SoC processor will be in charge of driving the gadget.

Users may select between two variations in terms of RAM and storage: one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is rumoured to have a 50MP rear camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens as part of its camera configuration. It might have a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is anticipated to include a 4,500mAh battery and 25W quick charging capability.
