Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge spotted on Geekbench with 12 core Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100

A new Samsung Galaxy Book 4 “Edge” model (Model: NP940XMAA-EXP) with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset also surfaced on Geekbench at the same time. Qualcomm’s chipset (model number “X1E80100”) powers Samsung’s next laptop.

The Geekbench 6 single-core score for the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge with Snapdragon X Elite was 2,785, and the multi-core score was 13,925. Higher scores than we’ve previously seen on a different Snapdragon X Elite device are seen. There are 12 Oryon CPU cores (8+4) and a base clock of 4.01GHz for the Snapdragon X Elite on the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge, according to the Geekbench listing.

On the well-known benchmarking website Geekbench, Windows Latest has discovered a new benchmark for the “Galaxy Book 4 Edge.” The moniker of the new Samsung gear is especially intriguing. With Windows 11 on ARM, it appears that this could be a new name for the Galaxy Book series.

Given that Samsung doesn’t currently sell any laptops under the “Edge” name, this would most likely be the new sub-brand for Windows 11 on ARM-based hardware. Let’s talk about the benchmarked Snapdragon X Elite’s outstanding performance now. The primary results are 2,706 for single-core and 12,646 for multi-core, as can be seen in the Geekbench screenshot below.

Additionally, there are rumors that Qualcomm’s latest technology will be included in Microsoft’s next Surface Laptop 6 and Surface Pro 10. As a result, Microsoft’s well-established Surface line would have Samsung as a direct rival.

That being said, it’s unexpected to see Samsung turning to Qualcomm for a new member of its high-end laptop portfolio, especially in light of Qualcomm’s relatively recent introduction to the consumer PC processor market.
