The smartphone giant has been working to improve their own mobile chipset for quite some time now, but their last Exynos 990 hadn’t been exciting enough for fans. So, it will this time use ARM’s latest instruction set to get better performance on their new SoCs.

The tipster Ice universe has spotted the Exynos 2100 using the new ARM Cortex-X1 architecture and Ice Universe has well debugged the Geekbench record to actually confirm the usage of this exciting and powerful new ARM cores.

A strong evidence shows that Exynos2100 will adopt the Cortex-X1 architecture. The reason is that the code 3396 appeared in Geekbench. Converting it to hexadecimal is d44, and d44 corresponds to the Cortex-X1 architecture. pic.twitter.com/yXKPggDm3O

The Samsung Exynos 2100 would use the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 875‘s core configuration, and both will be built on Samsung’s 5nm EUV process.

So, this time, the performance of Samsung SoC will improve drastically; however, it will be interesting to see if Samsung nears to upcoming Snapdragon 875’s performance. However, it will be a challenge to see if both of the SoCs could go actually near the performance of the latest flagship Apple A14 Bionic.
