Samsung claims record sales but a 24% drop in profit in the third quarter

The third quarter revenue report for Samsung, a South Korean IT giant, has been posted online. The figures indicate that the business saw respectable third-quarter revenue growth.

Samsung reported $54 billion in revenue over the previous three months. When compared to the information from the prior year, that is a 4% percentage growth. Samsung claims record sales but a 24% drop in profit in the third quarter.

Decline in Operating Profit

Samsung’s Planning for Upcoming Years

Many macroeconomic and geopolitical issues could arise in the fourth quarter, which could have an impact on sales. However, the significant year-end sales that the Christmas season always brings can contribute to the business recording yet another gain in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Samsung also intends to increase the sales of its products with bigger screens, such as tablets.
