Samsung and Google Revolutionize Home Entertainment with Eclipsa Audio in 2025 TVs and Soundbars

What is Eclipsa Audio?

Eclipsa Audio is a groundbreaking 3D audio technology that allows creators to manipulate sound in ways never before possible. By adjusting elements like the location, intensity, and spatial reflections of sounds, creators can craft dynamic, three-dimensional audio experiences that feel as though the sound is coming from all around you.

This technology isn’t just for creators—it’s designed to bring these immersive experiences directly to consumers. Whether you’re watching a blockbuster movie, streaming a YouTube video, or listening to music, Eclipsa Audio ensures that every sound feels vivid, lifelike, and captivating.

Eclipsa Audio in Samsung’s 2025 Lineup

Samsung, the global leader in the TV market for 18 consecutive years, is integrating Eclipsa Audio across its entire 2025 TV lineup. From the Crystal UHD series to the premium Neo QLED 8K models, this technology will be accessible to a wide range of consumers.

For those who want a complete home theater experience, Samsung’s 2025 soundbars will also feature Eclipsa Audio, ensuring seamless playback and enhanced sound quality.

“This innovation opens new possibilities for immersive audio experiences and reinforces our commitment to shaping the future of home entertainment,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President and Head of the R&D Team, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics.

A Partnership with Google to Expand Content

Samsung and Google are taking Eclipsa Audio beyond hardware by integrating it into content platforms. Starting in 2025, YouTube creators will be able to upload videos with Eclipsa Audio tracks, allowing viewers with compatible Samsung devices to enjoy premium spatial audio.

To ensure consistent quality, Samsung and Google are working with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to establish a certification program for devices using Eclipsa Audio. This ensures that consumers experience the highest standards of sound fidelity, no matter the content or device.

“We believe that Eclipsa Audio has the potential to change the way we experience sound,” said Jim Bankoski, Vice President of Engineering, Google Chrome. “We are excited to see how the creator community uses it to create new and innovative audio experiences.”

Why Eclipsa Audio Matters

Eclipsa Audio isn’t just another feature—it’s a leap forward in how we experience sound. By combining Samsung’s industry-leading display technology with Google’s expertise in audio innovation, this partnership is set to redefine home entertainment.

Here’s why it’s a game-changer:

  • For Creators: Eclipsa Audio gives creators the tools to design immersive soundscapes, adding depth and realism to their content.
  • For Consumers: Whether you’re watching a movie, gaming, or streaming, Eclipsa Audio delivers a richer, more engaging experience.
  • For the Industry: With Samsung and Google leading the charge, Eclipsa Audio sets a new standard for 3D audio technology.
