No ads on Netflix. No filter on the show. Samay Raina is back, and this time he’s doing things completely on his own terms.

Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has confirmed the return of India’s Got Latent Season 2, which will stream simultaneously on both Netflix and YouTube — with episodes having the same duration on both platforms. Outlook India

The show premieres on June 20, 2026, at 7 PM IST, with new episodes dropping every two weeks thereafter. India TV News

Samay Raina’s Everything You Need to Know — Overview

Why Netflix AND YouTube? Samay Explains It Perfectly

In the announcement video, Samay’s creative collaborator Balraj Singh Ghai challenged him — “How much money do you want to earn? Will you forget your fans for money?” — to which Raina confirmed the simultaneous release on both platforms. When asked why viewers would choose Netflix, Raina simply said, “There are no ads on Netflix.” A person playing a Netflix representative added that the platform also has no comment section — to which Raina quipped that the abuse will be right there inside the show itself, since it has no filter.

Only Samay Raina could turn a business announcement into a comedy bit.

The dual-platform strategy is an unusual move in India’s streaming market, where creators and platforms typically compete for exclusivity — making this one of the most disruptive content deals in recent Indian digital history.

The Rocky Road to Season 2

The show was initially called off by Raina and all episodes were made private on YouTube on February 12, 2025, after a controversy sparked over obscene comments made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia during an episode. Wikipedia

But Samay bounced back hard. In 2026, he became one of the youngest Indian comedians to perform at Madison Square Garden, and on March 7, 2026, he released his debut comedy special Still Alive on YouTube — which became the most-viewed stand-up comedy special on the platform. Wikipedia

The India’s Got Latent comeback is more than a show returning — it’s a full-circle moment for one of India’s most fearless comedians.
