The Story Behind the Game
Ding Shen Sia, the solo developer behind Malaysia-based O.P. Neon Games, built TCG Card Shop Simulator out of pure childhood nostalgia. Growing up playing monster-raising games and their trading card counterparts, Sia wanted to recreate that electric feeling of cracking open a booster pack for the first time — not knowing what rare card might be inside.
He turned that feeling into a game. And 3.5 million players later, it’s clear the world felt exactly the same way.
“When I set out to build TCG Card Shop Simulator, I never imagined we’d reach 3.5 million players,” said Sia at the SEA Games Showcase 2026. “Every sale is a shared memory of opening that first rare card.”
It’s a story that perfectly captures why indie game development continues to produce some of gaming’s most beloved titles.
What Is TCG Card Shop Simulator?
At its core, TCG Card Shop Simulator is a trading card shop simulation game where you build and run your own local game store from the ground up. Version 1.0 Is Almost Here — With a Game-Changing Feature
The full 1.0 release is coming very soon, and it brings the community’s most-requested feature: a fully playable Tetramon Trading Card Game inside the simulator — complete with brand-new Tetramon cards to collect and play with.
