Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Next

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film, Adbhut, is set to premiere on Sony Max on September 15 at 8 pm. Directed by Sabbir Khan and starring Diana Penty alongside Siddiqui, the film explores a horror narrative. The plot follows a young couple, Shrey and Rohan, who move into a remote house and experience unsettling and unexplained events. They seek the help of a detective, played by Siddiqui, to uncover the truth.

The trailer features classic horror elements, such as a mixer juicer that operates on its own, and scenes reminiscent of past horror films, including a tense moment with a character on a balcony. A notable line from the trailer, delivered by Siddiqui’s character, is: “Agar kuch dikhai nahi deta toh iska matlab yeh nahi ki wo hai nahi. Iska matlab hai ki wahan roshni kam hai” (“If you can’t see something, it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It means there’s less light there”). Despite these intriguing elements, the trailer suggests that Adbhut may offer a familiar and less innovative take on the horror-thriller genre, potentially lacking fresh scares or novel storytelling.
