Benchmarked: Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 vs. Snapdragon X Elite – Who Wins?

The battle for mobile processor supremacy heats up! Two leading contenders, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, have recently hit the benchmark scene. Let’s dive into their performance based on leaked Geekbench scores.

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 vs. Snapdragon X Elite: Qualcomm wins

Single-Core Showdown: A Hair’s Breadth Apart

The competition is fierce in single-core performance. The Snapdragon X Elite edges out the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with a score of 2952 compared to 2879. This minimal difference suggests both processors can handle demanding single-threaded tasks like web browsing and light gaming with ease.

Multi-Core Muscle: Snapdragon Extends the Lead

The Snapdragon X Elite maintains its lead in multi-core performance. It pulls ahead with a score of 15620, while the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 manages 14888. This indicates the Snapdragon X Elite might be better suited for power-intensive applications like video editing and multitasking.

It’s Still Early Days

It’s important to remember that these are preliminary benchmark scores. Final results might differ once both processors are officially released and tested more extensively. Additionally, real-world performance can be influenced by factors beyond benchmarks, such as battery life and overall system optimization.

The Takeaway: A Close Race for Mobile Dominance

Both the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Snapdragon X Elite showcase impressive performance. While the Snapdragon X Elite takes a slight lead based on these leaked scores, the final verdict awaits comprehensive testing.

Ultimately, the “better” processor will depend on your specific needs and priorities. If raw power is your top concern, the Snapdragon X Elite might be the way to go. But if single-core performance and potential battery life improvements are important, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 remains a strong contender.
