Reliance Jio Unveils JioDive, More Products and Services Incoming

JioDive, Reliance Jio’s first virtual reality (VR) headset, has just been released. With a simulated 100-inch screen and a 360-degree depiction of the stadium, the new device gives users a new way to enjoy sports online. For an even better experience, users can watch more videos on their smartphones.

The smartphone-based VR headgear JioDive is compatible with the JioCinema app, which includes features including multiple angles for the camera and a variety of languages. After announcing JioGlass, a different headgear that will reportedly offer more sophisticated functions in the future, Reliance Jio announced the new VR headset as part of its aim to provide mixed reality experiences to its users.

Upcoming XR Products and Services from Jio

One of the top Indian telecoms providers, Jio, just unveiled the JioDive, its first VR device. JioMart has begun selling the gadget. Reports claim that Jio won’t be stopping with the JioDive but will be releasing many more XR gadgets and services in the market at a time when AI and extended reality devices are becoming an increasing part of daily life.

The news comes from Mukul Sharma, a well-known Twitter tipster, who revealed that Jio will introduce the JioExplore VR, Jio Mixed Reality, Jio Reality OS, and Jio Verse to expand its XR offerings. Jio Mixed Reality, Jio Reality OS, and Jio Verse are all listed as being “Marked for Exam,” while JioExplore VR is listed as having had its formalities checked and passed.

Except for a little information on Jio’s venture with mixed reality services, there isn’t much trustworthy information accessible about these planned gadgets and services. JioDive VR headset pricing and compatibility

Jio has set pricing of ₹1,299 for its JioDive VR headgear, which comes in a black color variant. The headset is available for purchase from JioMart or the official website of the company.  Users who want to use the JioDive VR headgear must have a smartphone running Android 9 or later or iOS 15 or later, a Jio connection, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, and displays between 4.7 and 6.7 inches.

Users must also download and set up the JioImmerse application on their mobile phones in order to use JioDive to stream games and other entertainment. The JioDive VR headset is compatible with devices made by Apple, Realme, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Poco, Nokia, and more manufacturers.
