Redmi Pad 2 Makes an Appearance on Geekbench, Revealing Performance Details

Redmi is in the process of preparing for the imminent launch of the Redmi Pad 2, which has already been spotted on the FCC website. The tablet’s specifications were leaked online, and now its performance details have emerged on Geekbench. Prior to its official release, the Redmi Pad 2 (model number 23073RPBFC) appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the tablet will be equipped with an octa-core processor.

This processor comprises four cores running at 2.40GHz and the remaining four cores operating at 1.90GHz. Interestingly, the chipset codenamed Bengal, suggests that the Redmi Pad 2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. This revelation has sparked discussions as the previous Redmi Pad featured the more powerful MediaTek Helio G99 processor, making the Snapdragon 680 seem like a potential downgrade.

The device boasts 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. As for performance, it achieved a score of 415 points in the single-core test and 1411 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench 6. While the Geekbench listing lacks additional information, let’s delve into the details that have been disclosed so far about the Redmi Pad 2.

Previous sources indicate that the upcoming Redmi Pad 2 is likely to incorporate a 2K resolution display, utilizing an economical IPS LCD panel. The size of the display is expected to range from 10 to 11 inches, with certain reports suggesting a diagonal measurement of approximately 10.95 inches. Furthermore, there are speculations circulating about the tablet supporting a seamless 90Hz refresh rate.

To ensure extended usage, the tablet is said to come with a substantial 8,000mAh battery. In terms of cameras, it is speculated that the Pad 2 will include a single rear camera sensor, possibly an 8MP lens, for capturing everyday moments. For selfies and video calls, a 5MP front camera is expected to be present.
