Redmi K80 series to launch with Snapdragon 8Gen4 SoC with  periscope telephoto lens

The Xiaomi’s Redmi K80 series has an exposed design, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen4 chip, a 2K straight screen, a periscope telephoto lens, and strong competitiveness overall.

Redmi K80 series specifications and other details

Xiaomi introduced its K70 series of smartphones in November of last year. With an emphasis on affordability and performance, these phones have won over a lot of mid-range buyers with their potent performance and innovative design.

But many consumers are also dissatisfied that the Redmi K70 series lacks a periscope telephoto lens; after all, the friend’s GT 5 Pro is more affordable than the Redmi K70 series and has one as well. The next Redmi K80 Pro, though, might have a solution for this issue.

The tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the Redmi K80 series will go on sale in November of this year. Important features of the Redmi K80 series that have been mentioned by the tipster include a 2K display, a periscope telephoto lens, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 CPU.

Since the Redmi K70 series debuted in November of last year, the Redmi K80 series is probably going to make its debut at the same time. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is anticipated to be released by Qualcomm in October. Soon after the introduction, we should begin to see phones equipped with this processor.

Regarding its internal capabilities, the Redmi K80 might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 CPU from Qualcomm, whereas the Redmi K80 Pro would be the first to run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor. As per the disclosed information, the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen4 sample utilizes the in-house designed Nuvia 2+6 large core architecture, operating at a frequency of 3.6GHz-4.0GHz.

Its single-core Geekbench score is approximately 2700, while its multi-core score is approximately 10,000 points. Notably, the theoretical performance of the CPU and GPU has been significantly enhanced.
