Red Dead Redemption Launches on Mobile via Netflix

Red Dead Redemption Mobile: Quick Facts

Mobile-Optimized Gaming Experience

The mobile version features touch-screen shooting and navigation controls specifically adapted for smartphones, making the iconic Dead Eye targeting system accessible on smaller screens. Players can slow down time and mark multiple targets for precision shots, a mechanic that revolutionized action gaming in 2010.

Set in 1911, the game follows former outlaw John Marston as he hunts down his old gang members across the American Southwest and Mexico to rescue his kidnapped family. The narrative captures a dying Old West where lawlessness meets civilization, featuring activities like clearing gang hideouts, hunting wildlife, taming horses, playing poker, and engaging in classic duels.

What You Need to Know

The game requires an internet connection and does not offer multiplayer mode. It runs on iOS 18.0 or higher with optimized performance for modern devices. Netflix subscribers can download it directly from the Netflix Games section without ads or additional purchases.

This launch follows Netflix’s addition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy two years ago, though GTA: San Andreas will leave the platform on December 12.

The mobile release coincides with enhanced versions for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, offering 60fps at 4K resolution with improved visuals on current-gen consoles.
