BMIC Match 5 Result: K9 Wins First Miramar Game

K9 won the fifth match of the BMIC 2026 Grand Finals, the first game played on Miramar, with 26 points and 16 finishes. It’s K9’s first chicken dinner of the event and the second by an Indian team, after OR’s Match 2 win. K9 moves up to fifth overall with 34 points. The Grand Finals run over 18 matches at The Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium, Mumbai, with 16 teams competing for a Rs 1 crore prize pool.

The lower half of the table was led by GDR, which took 3 points from 3 finishes. SOUL, RIC, 8BIT and DCP each took 2 points, MTR took 1 point, and FS and VS went scoreless.

DK extends its lead to 63 points, five ahead of NS. OR and DCP stay in the top four, while K9 climbs into the top five with its first win.

How K9 won

K9 took 16 finishes in the match, the highest total of any team in the Grand Finals so far. DK’s 14 finishes in Match 4 was the previous best. K9 collected 10 position points, the same as DK in Match 4, giving it 26 points for the match. K9 started the event on 8 points, so the win is a major step forward.

NS’s high finish count

NS took 12 finishes in Match 5 but earned no position points, which left it second on the day with 12 points. Finishing games without placing high can hold a team back, even when it eliminates many opponents. NS still holds second place overall with 58 points.

Indian teams in the event

K9 leads the Indian sides after Match 5 and is fifth overall on 34 points. OR is third overall with 43 points, 8BIT is eighth on 27, BLEC is tenth on 25 and GDR is eleventh on 25. BLEC finished third on the day with 10 points, and OR took fifth with 7 points. Japan is represented by RIC, KN, MTR, VAL and VS, while Korea has DK, NS, DCP, KRX and FS.

Match 5 was the first game on Miramar, so the event now moves to a new map. DK leads with 63 points, and NS, OR and DCP are all within 23 points of the top.
