“Reborn Rookie” Bows Out On A High With Its Best Ratings Ever, While “The Husband” Gains Serious Momentum

JTBC’s hit drama “Reborn Rookie” couldn’t have asked for a better send-off. On July 5, its series finale — featuring a surprise cameo from ITZY’s Ryujin — soared to become the show’s highest-rated episode of its entire run, proving that this rookie drama truly saved its best for last.

Meanwhile, over on KBS 2TV, thriller “The Husband” is quickly finding its footing, posting a strong ratings jump for just its second episode.

Reborn Rookie Sunday’s Ratings Report Card

According to Nielsen Korea, “Reborn Rookie’s” finale didn’t just top its own record — it also became Sunday’s most-watched show among the coveted 20-49 age demographic, pulling in a 4.8 percent rating with that key audience. That’s the kind of finish every drama hopes for, and Ryujin’s cameo appearance clearly added extra buzz to an already emotional send-off.

“The Husband,” starring Namkoong Min in an intense thriller about a man framed for his wife’s disappearance, is proving it has real staying power too — climbing 2 full percentage points from its premiere the night before. If this early momentum holds, it could turn into one of the season’s stronger new dramas.

Topping them both, though, was KBS 2TV’s “Recipe for Love,” which held its ground as Sunday’s overall most-watched program with a strong 15.5 percent rating.

These weekly numbers, tracked by Nielsen Korea, continue to offer viewers a real-time pulse on which dramas are truly resonating with Korean audiences.
