Rao Bahadur Twitter Review: Fans Say Satyadev Delivers a Performance Worth Watching in Theaters

Every once in a while, an actor’s performance completely takes over a film’s conversation. That’s exactly what’s happening with Rao Bahadur, which hit theaters on July 3, 2026 — and Twitter can’t stop talking about Satyadev’s lead turn.

What’s Rao Bahadur Twitter Saying?

Directed by Venkatesh Maha, the psychological drama is earning consistent praise for its lead performance, world-building, and score.

Several users highlighted Venkatesh Maha’s distinctive storytelling and execution style, with one calling it a genuine theatrical experience. Another said no actor other than Satyadev could have pulled off the role so convincingly, and that the character stayed with them long after the film ended.

What’s the Film About?

Rao Bahadur follows Bhuvanam Ramappa Rao Bahadur, an aging aristocrat from a once-prominent royal family. After receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis, he defies his prognosis but begins experiencing a rare psychological condition. Confined to his bed and consumed by obsession, he struggles to separate reality from imagination while trying to uncover the truth behind his second son’s paternity — a premise that leans heavily into the kind of unreliable-narrator territory found in classic psychological drama storytelling.

The Team Behind It

Alongside Satyadev, the film stars Vikas Muppala, Deepa Thomas, Bala Parasar, Anand, Pranay Vaka, and Kunal Kaushik. Venkatesh Maha wrote, edited, and directed the film, with music by Smaran Sai and cinematography by Kartik Parmar.

Should You Watch It?

If early reactions are anything to go by, Rao Bahadur is shaping up as one of the more compelling character studies to release this week — heavy, immersive, and driven almost entirely by its central performance.
