Rajkummar Rao & Keerthy Suresh’s Raftaar Gets a Release Date — This July Thriller Is Already on Our Most-Awaited List!

Bollywood’s summer 2026 slate just got significantly more exciting. After months of anticipation, the makers of Raftaar have officially announced that the film will hit cinemas on July 24, 2026 — and the combination of Rajkummar Rao’s unmatched screen charisma and Keerthy Suresh’s powerful screen presence makes this one of the most intriguing Bollywood pairings of the year.

Raftaar (2026) — Everything You Need to Know

What Is Raftaar About?

Raftaar is a gripping drama of ambition, love, and greed, directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and produced by Patralekhaa. Fox Baltimore While a full plot synopsis hasn’t been officially released yet, the thematic trifecta of ambition, love, and greed points strongly toward a high-stakes character-driven drama — the kind where the real enemy isn’t an external antagonist, but the hunger and desire living inside the protagonists themselves.

Rajkummar Rao is one of Hindi cinema’s most consistently compelling performers — from Stree and Trapped to The White Tiger, he has built a career on choosing roles that challenge both him and the audience. Pairing him with Keerthy Suresh — the National Award-winning actress who made waves in Mahanati and proved her Hindi film appeal with Baby John — creates an on-screen dynamic that feels genuinely fresh and unpredictable.

Why This Film Deserves Your Attention

This is also a notable milestone for director Aditya Nimbalkar and producer Patralekhaa — Rajkummar Rao’s real-life wife — who steps into the production chair for what promises to be a prestige drama with serious commercial hooks. Amazon MGM Studios India backing the project adds significant weight to its expected production quality and marketing muscle.

A late-July theatrical release is strategically smart — positioned well away from the June monsoon rush, with enough breathing room to build word-of-mouth before any potential OTT transition. If the film delivers on its premise, it could be one of the sleeper hits of Bollywood’s second half of 2026.

No trailer or song has been released yet, but the release date announcement alone generated 14,000+ engagements on Pinkvilla — a clear signal that audience excitement is already building.
