Rainbow Six Siege And New Marketplace
Earlier players were in a dilemma and had to make comparisons between Rainbow Six Siege and Counter – Strike and ended at their 5v5 team sizes and bomb rulesets. However, Ubisoft had its own plan and working on its own version of a brilliant feature.
This feature has become the second name with the Valve’s tactical FPS: the skin marketplace. The company has dubbed this simply dubbed this is as the “Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace”.
Now the website will let the siege players purchase and sell in–game skins and cosmetics with other players. Now they can exchange their items and gear up themselves with whatever they want.
In a recent press presentation, Ubisoft said that players can access the marketplace through their browsers and mobile phones. So device will not be a problem for players and they can make seamless transactions through any device and browser.
It is also mentioned in the press presentation that players can make all transactions through R6 Credits only. As you may already know R6 Credits is Siege’s premium currency that is sold in packs.
They cost from $5 to $100 in the in–game shop and players first have to obtain the currency. And then only they can purchase and sell their in–game skins and cosmetics and make transactions.
However, it is not clear whether players can set the price of their in–game cosmetics or if it will be fixed. As an assumption players will get to know about this when the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace is launched.
In theory, it also means that the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace will have no connection to the NFT initiative by Ubisoft, Quartz. It is also announced that Ubisoft soon will hold a closed beta for the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace.
This announcement is important as it is ahead of the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace store’s full launch. It is estimated that the store will be launched anytime in the year 2024.
It may seem futile at first, but in–game cosmetics and skins are very trendy and popular among players. It is not hyperbolic to say that in some instances players are more excited for in–game items rather than the game.
