Rainbow Six Siege will start supporting Cross Play and Cross Progression with its Operation Solar Raid Update

Rainbow Six Siege Year 7’s latest and last season, Operation Solar Raid, will be released in December. It will bring with it exciting new features such as enhanced security measures, crossplay, and cross-progression. This season will also see the introduction of a new and updated battle pass, a new map, a new Colombian Operator, and an improved ranking system.

Defender Solis will be the game’s new Operator. Her SPEC-IO Electro-Sensor device collects critical information for a coordinated plan. Solis can assess and identify Attacker devices such as drones and breaching devices. Her gloves also let her interact with the gadget overlay and initiate a cluster scan. Solis is a medium-speed, medium-health Operator that carries a P90 or an ITA 12L as a primary weapon and an SMG-11 as a secondary.

The Ranked Playlist will also have a different experience thanks to this new Rainbow Six Siege season. MMR is no longer used to determine a player’s rank. It is determined instead by the number of Rank Points they gain or lose after each Ranked match. Every Rank now has five divisions, with each requiring 100 Rank Points to move up. Between Platinum and Diamond, a brand-new rank called Emerald has also been added.

The Rainbow Six Siege players’ Rank and MMR are now distinct. It will take on the name “Skill,” a new value. All playlists have a hidden value called skill, which carries over from one season to the next. There won’t be any more restrictions on squad MMR, and players are free to squad up with any of their buddies. This factor will make it easier for a new matchmaking system to adjust to the different skill levels of squad members.

Crossplay and cross-progression will also be introduced in Rainbow Six Siege. Through Ubisoft Connect, console players can now team up with pals who own different systems.

Players can disable crossplay if they choose to reject it. Your progress, money, and stuff will be shared across all platforms when you log into your Ubisoft Connect account using cross-progression.

The Battle Pass has changed from a two-tiered structure to one with multiple branches. Players can now prioritize their rewards and plan their journey. They will be able to unlock all the tiles and finish the Battle Pass regardless of whatever path they choose to follow first. In addition, Ubisoft and Square Enix will work together to produce skins for Rainbow Six Siege that are based on the NieR series. The November 21 release date for these skins is now.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, and PC.
