Episode 7: Building the Case, Brick by Brick

Ra-young’s first move is the most unexpected — she approaches Hong Yeon-hui, Park Jae-yeol’s own wife. Yeon-hui initially refuses but Ra-young’s account of Seon-hwa’s death and the full scale of Connect’s crimes breaks through her resistance. She agrees to cooperate.
Meanwhile, Detective Koo grows uneasy watching Hyeon-jin get deeper into the investigation. He confronts her directly, and after staying silent for 20 years, Hyeon-jin finally tells him everything — the past assault, Prosecutor Park, all of it.
Episode 8: The Moment Everything Breaks Open
Ra-young steps in front of a live broadcast and says clearly: “There is a secret prostitution app. And a current prosecutor is involved.”
Park Jae-yeol’s carefully constructed image collapses in real time. He’s immediately suspended. Reporters swarm him. But Ra-young’s team at L&J knows the fight is far from over — without solid witnesses, the case could still fall apart.
Then Park turns violent. He confronts Yeon-hui at home, sensing she has betrayed him. Ra-young rushes in when she gets Yeon-hui’s distress message — and Shin-jae helps them both escape. Yeon-hui is moved to a safe house, and critical intel is recovered from Park’s phone.
On the other side of the chessboard, Han Min-seo — aka the mysterious “Green Hood” — plots against Park’s teenage daughter, attempting to drug her. Ra-young, tipped off just in time, calls the girl away. Park learns his wife and daughter are under Ra-young’s protection, and his rage escalates to a dangerous level.
Elsewhere, a drug syringe found at the construction site bears Min-seo’s fingerprint, placing her directly at Seon-hwa’s murder scene — and confirming she likely has the missing laptop.
