The most popular mobile battle royale game, PUBG Mobile comes with a new way to collect funds for donations to fight the global pandemic. To fulfill the mission, the PUBG mobile authority gets partnered with Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization. The players will play a role to decide the donation amount.
The challenge is named “Running Challenge For Donation” and it will continue till 28th July. The concept is individual players’ sprinting distance will be stored to the game’s server and PUBG Mobile will contribute a dollar corresponding to that. The game authority started the challenge with an initial contribution of $1 million, and each and every player will get the opportunity to contribute to that fund. Other than in-game sprinting, there is also a dedicated space for contribution.
As per the company’s information, all the funding will directly support Direct Relief’s emergency support for COVID-19. The final contributed amount will be declared when the event will end, which means after 28th July. Lastly, the game authority announced its partnership with the Direct Relief on twitter.
