PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were banned in India along with 116 other applications, having a direct or indirect connection with China, at the beginning of September. Both the apps are of PUBG Corporation are already removed from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Just after the announcement, the game authority broke its ties with Tencent now, sources are pointing towards the talk between PUBG Corporation and Jio to distribute the game in the coming days across India. For your information, at the time of the PUBG Mobile Lite launch in India, both the companies were partnered in 2019. So, if any deal is signed, it will not for the first time.

A source mentioned by Business Line said, “The talks are in an early stage, which began just after the government’s second round of bans. Officials from both sides are working out the contours of how to structure various aspects of the deal.”. As per another source, “Legal experts from both sides are exploring possibilities on how revenues should be split, whether it would be 50:50 or Jio guaranteeing PUBG revenues based on a fixed number of users every month,”

It’s clear that the PUBG Corporation has become proactive to relaunch PUBG Mobile as well as PUBG Mobile Lite in India. This is because of the 175 million+ downloads were from India only and this figure is around a quarter of the worldwide download. But as per the Indian Ministry only breaking the ties with Tencent is not enough for that, that because the Chinese company was not the only reason to impose the ban. So, they need to fix all the flaws to relaunch in India.
