Why This Month’s Lineup Stands Out

Leading the pack is “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III,” the direct sequel to 2022’s “Modern Warfare II.” The story follows Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they track down Vladimir Makarov, a ruthless ultranationalist terrorist leader — a plotline that continues one of gaming’s most enduring military franchises within the broader PlayStation ecosystem.

For strategy fans, “For the King II” offers something different: a roguelike RPG blending turn-based combat with tabletop-style gameplay, set in the fantasy realm of Fahrul, where players team up to take down the tyrant queen Rosomon. It’s a great pick for co-op groups looking for something more cerebral than run-and-gun action.

Rounding things off is “CrossCode,” a fan-favorite indie action RPG known for its gorgeous retro pixel art, fast combat, and clever dungeon puzzles. Its rich sci-fi narrative has made it a cult classic among genre enthusiasts, and its inclusion is a nice nod to indie gaming’s growing presence on subscription services.

All three titles are available to claim between July 7 and August 3, 2026, and will remain in your library for as long as your membership stays active.
