Priyanka Chopra Jonas Just Landed Her Biggest Hollywood Thriller Yet — Alongside Russell Crowe

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is heading into deep, dangerous territory — literally. She’s set to star opposite Oscar winner Russell Crowe in Bluefly, a sci-fi action thriller that’s about to be pitched to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival. It’s another major stamp on her growing Hollywood resume.

What’s Bluefly About

The film follows a grieving United Nations translator pulled into a covert black-ops mission deep in the Congo, tasked with recovering a mysterious aircraft that officially never existed. As the team pushes into militia-controlled territory, they uncover a truth that turns the mission into a fight for survival. Directed by Nimród Antal — known for Predators and his work on Stranger Things — the project is being compared to Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival for its blend of tension and emotional weight.

Why This Project Stands Out

Highland Film Group, handling worldwide sales, is positioning Bluefly as a high-stakes thriller with real emotional depth rather than just spectacle. Principal photography kicks off later this year, and with Crowe fresh off Nuremberg and gearing up for Highlander, the pairing brings serious star power to a story built around mystery and survival.
