Prabhsukhan Gill to sign for East Bengal in Rs 1.2 cr deal to become the best-paid goalkeeper in the ISL

Prabhsukhan Gill is set to join East Bengal from Kerala Blasters, with the deal fully agreed between the two clubs. The Red and Gold side will be paying Rs 1.2 crore for the player, even though Kerala Blasters wanted to tie him down to a new contract.

He becomes the latest new signing for East Bengal, who have started building their squad very early this summer. Gill has been persuaded to join the Kolkata club alongside his brother, Gursimrat Singh Gill.

Both brothers are expected to complete their medical tests ahead of the move in the coming days. Once the formalities have been completed, they will be officially announced as new players for the team. Prabhsukhan Gill is also expected to become the best-paid goalkeeper in the division once he signs his contract at his new club.

The 22-year-old is a former ISL Golden Glove award winner, and will be a huge addition to the team. His brother, Gursimrat, will also have a significant part to play once he completes the move. With the two young defenders at the club, the ambitions will be high from the fans in the coming season.

East Bengal had a problem of conceding late goals last side which caused them to drop a lot of points. With their new arrivals, things are expected to be different this time, especially with the arrival of Carles Cuadrat as their new head coach.
